Charity

I don’t make a lot of money. I do have a day job, and I have bills. House, insurance, electric, water, credit cards, and you name it, we ALL have bills. They never seem to go away. And just when you think you can have a little extra money, you blow a tire or something breaks on the washer or dryer.

But I always find some money to donate to my favorite charity, L.E.A.R.N Horse Rescue. Sometimes it’s only $25.00.  I give what I can and it makes me feel good. I chose the horse rescue, because I had horses and right now I can’t afford one nor do I have the time. Between the day job, blogging, writing on the novel, making jewelry, marketing said books and jewelry, yeah. No time. I did look around for local charities, as the horse rescue is in my home state. (Another reason why I chose them.) But I researched and discovered that not all the monies given actually go to the people who need it. Plus some of the charities seemed to forget why and what they were there for.

I guess I’m picky. I do not do the Go Fund Me things. I’m sure some people set those up for good reasons, but I just don’t trust the site. If you feel differently, that’s fine. Remember, we’re all different.

I would suggest you look into a charity, something close to your heart. Do some research and donate, even if it’s $10.00 a month, every little bit helps. In the long run, it’ll make you feel better as well. Just the knowledge that you helped someone, even if they can’t see you, warms the heart.

Just a note. I donate as an anonymous person. I don’t need thank you cards or emails. Just knowing I gave is enough for me.
